Martens Renewables is specialised in industrial and maritime waste management. With its equipment and facilities, the company offers a full scope of services from waste collection, transportation, sampling, and analysis to processing, storage, and final recycling or disposal. Its scope covers waste waters, bilge water, oily waste, sludge, hydrocarbons, waste fuel, cleaning residues, and industrial and ship generated wastes. This integrated approach is appreciated by a variety of customers such as industrial and shipping companies, oil & gas operators, refineries, and governmental organisations.

Martens Renewables operates a full-fledged Port Waste Reception Facility in North Sea Port (Vlissingen) that consists of a laboratory, processing plant, facilities for solid waste segregation and sorting, and a fluids process capacity of 196,000t. This facility has a quay of nearly 200m with deep water and excellent hinterland connections via rail, road, and short sea. Furthermore, the facility can support in maritime emergencies and provide a save berth with all means of intervention at hand. Apart from North Sea Port, Martens Renewables serves the ports of Rotterdam (Martignoni Slop Disposal), Antwerp, and Zeebrugge.

Martens Renewables is part of Burando. Experience and competences are shared within the group and unique solutions are hence provided for the customers. Martens is fully committed to safe and environmentally sound working practices. The required licenses and certifications (ISO 9001 & 14001, VCA Health & Safety, ISPS Port Security) are in place, and waste is collected by VLG/ADR-approved vacuum trucks and ADN-approved ships.
