Ørsted has built more offshore windfarms than any other developer in the world. By 2020, the company will expand offshore wind capacity to 7.45GW, and will have offshore windfarms across Europe in Denmark, Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands.
Borssele 1 & 2 is our first Dutch offshore windfarm. The Netherlands has firm green energy ambitions. Ørsted is very happy to contribute to the Dutch energy transition. In the beginning of 2020 the opening of an operations and maintenance base in Vlissingen took place. Borssele 1 & 2 became operational at the end of 2020.
